Salvatierra (“save the Earth”) was founded in 2005 by Kristen Evans and Kathryn Krubsack to bring art and handicrafts from the Bolivian tropics to the U.S. Kristen spent two years in the village of Salvatierra as a Peace Corps volunteer, working with the villagers on a community forestry program, responsible for over 100,000 acres of tropical forest. Both Kristen and Kathryn fell in love with the warm, generous families, and their local traditions, rich in music and art.

The artisans of Bolivia create whimsical, unusual, and beautiful art. Your purchase supports Bolivian artisan cooperatives and individual artists. And a portion of all sales benefits youth music education programs in Bolivia.
